Back in May, Wheelsuckers.cc in association with n+one, launched a poll to find out which are the most popular cycling cafés in the UK as nominated and voted for by Wheelsuckers.cc members and the broader cycling community.
Over 1,700 votes were cast across the 41 cafés that were nominated which is a huge response. After the votes were counted, the Wheelsuckers' top 3 cycling cafés of 2016 are:
- Bike Beans Cycle Café (Surrey)
- Pedalling Squares (Newcastle Upon Tyne)
- Expresso Library (Cambridgeshire)
Our congratulations to the top 3 cycling cafes and to all those that were nominated. See the full results for all cafes that were in the running and their poll ranking.
A very pleased Jamie Chisholm, founder & owner of Bike Beans Cycle Café, commented:
“We are really excited about achieving the top-slot in the Wheelsuckers.cc favourite cycling-café poll; the support we've had from our customers and fans just typifies the Bike Beans community and what we are all about. We’ve made huge efforts over the past 4-years to create an informal social-hub for cyclists that brings together the best of cycling and café culture - this award proves we’re on the right track!", said Jamie, "This recognition comes on the back of a very exciting few months for the business: the launch of our British Cycling affiliated Club Bike Beans, with over 100 members in a few weeks; a project to increase our Café's capacity; and a film-shoot with the Eurosport TV cycling presentation team.”
Jamie added: "I would also like to extend my congratulations and support to Pedalling Squares who pushed us hard. Having followed them, I really admire what they are doing and I would love to forge a link with them, particularly as I come from even further north than they do! Fuelling the southern revolution has never been so much fun!"
